I am a biochemist and received my PhD from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. My scientific publications in chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology are in the public domain and my musings about life, history, and other stories can be found on a blog. I have also given presentations at scientific meetings. However this site is not really about me.

 

It is written for people who may be impacted by a disease that has profoundly affected the lives of some of my loved ones.The links in each article will guide readers to original or related sources that can hopefully be used as guides for further research or in discussions with their doctors.
